The Elven Kingdoms

The Elven Kingdoms

On the State of the Elven Kingdoms-(3000-45BH) – By: Archdeacon Danelus of Estag, Chronicler I

In the beginning, the Land of Nevesgruel was ruled by the Elves. The entire continent was united by the elven emperor Telathas I, but after his assassination by Orcish cabals at the behest of the Great Warlord Gremesh, his lands were divided into three separate kingdoms under the control of his most powerful generals. In the north, the Kingdom of Neneth was ruled by Anathras IX. Anathras is the greatest of the elfish warriors send to defend the forested frontier of the north from marauding orcs. What constitutes the lands of Midhelm and the Broken Empire is ruled by Telathas II, youngest son of the late emperor. He was a mediocre ruler, who did little of note save for maintaining stability in his lands. The Southern Kingdoms were ruled by Denothil of Erinor, the great mage king. Denothil accomplished many breakthroughs in the arcane arts at the expense of his people. Severe droughts and dust storms reduced this kingdom to ash. The Hobgoblin and Goblin tribes thrived were Denothil did not. Marauding bands of goblins wandered the southern steppes and destroyed what little remained of Denothil’s Kingdom.
